The only one piece plugs right now are Brisk and Champion. Brisk are not platinum and should be replaced @ 25k intervals. Autolite HT0(for FI) and HT1(non FI) plugs are two piece.

I followed the TSB and used Autolite HT1's when I replaced my plugs.

I was curious about running these before to see if it would help my pinging I get when the outside air is hot. Even under the stock tune and intake it does it. I gotta run way higher octane so I figured maybe HT0s would help that.

I'm not sure but maybe I'll give it a try. I should replace the plugs anyway. I have 48K miles on stockers.
Couldn't hurt to try man. If you need to replace them anyways, go for it, you wont have any problems with the HT0's so it's a win/win anyways. I didn't NEED to change mine, but I wanted to just to make sure I don't have the breaking off problem in the future, plus I got the plugs for free

btw where the hell are these brisk plugs made? I've never even heard of that company, and for 15.00 each that seems steep for a non-platinum plug.

wtf

So Dale Jarrett Ford outside of Charlotte, NC quoted me this:

"The cost to replace spark plugs is $240.00. This price allows for up to 2 broken spark plugs. Any additional broken plugs are $40.00 ea to remove. We will use your Champion plugs if you provide them. We cannot guarantee the performance if Champion plugs are used."

I'm thinking this - if I take it in they aren't really gonna let them soak in the Motorcraft carb cleaner for the amount of time as the TSB states, right? They're gonna crack 'em and charge me $40 bucks for every one that breaks.

Would I be wrong to just go to their lot (or a 100 yards away) and try this myself - only to push it in for service if I break any plugs?

just do it on the street in front of the dealership lol

if all goes well, you saved yourself $240+tax+additional costs

if it goes sour, you are just a car push away from them finishing it off
