Exhaust system ideas
Ok, so I was looking through some old threads and found Project85's thread about his exhaust system https://mustangforums.com/forum/4-0l...ally-over.html
I really like the design of that setup, so I was looking at mufflers on summit's website and had an idea. Basically it would be a modified version of Project85's setup except instead of two separate mufflers, I was thinking of using a single in/dual out muffler. The mufflers would flow into two 18 " long, 4" diameter stainless slash cut tips that would be tucked very tightly to the bumper so they don't hang down and look goofy like a lot of setups I've seen before.
Here's a crude mockup of the setup.
Black is the cats, the dark gray in the middle is the muffler, and the dark gray at the bottom is the tips. The green line in the middle is where the stock exhaust would be cut.

What do you guys think? I think it'd sound ok, but that's me. I'd like to have a deep, good tone, rather than a loud raspy sound that I hear all too often on other dual'd v6's. Also, do you guys think that a competent exhaust shop would be able to fab this up and install it to my picky standards?

I'm also thinking of some straight cut tips, but they only have those in 3" diameter. 4" tips may be to big for our cars though, I really don't know, does anyone have any pics of how 3" tips on our cars?
*edit*
I found a youtube video with exactly what I want my setup to look like from the rear.

I like how far those extend past the bumper, they're out there, but not too much, and I also like how tight they are on the bumper.
I don't know whose car that is but kudos if you're on this forum.
