Intersting Comparison
if you want something smooth, go to wendys and get a frosty. It's a mustang man, its suppost to be rough and notchy and all the interior pieces are suppost to rattle, that's just how it is and I think its suppost to stay that way. The mods we all do make our cars original and our own, thats whats different between yours and his...his just has a set of stripes, yours is ready to throw down in a race at any moment.
My car is 510rwhp of rattling, notchyness and loudness, and it's daily driven and I love every second of it.

Hurst need to put better hardware in their kit, that's all.
They'd get rid of a lot of unhappy customers with better bolts and washers.
It's a cheap business move, if you ask me...
I have been very successful with all the Hurst shifters I installed, including my car.
Of course, all of them were put together with my "in house hardware"

I hated my steeda tri axe, wich is the same as the pro 5.0 and got the hurst. The pro 5.0 is def stronger and unbreakable and feels like its bullett proof but I hated the centering spring it it and it really isnt a STS IMO its just more of a power shifter cause it barely made the shifts any shorter then the original shifter It felt the same as stock to me just stronger but the hurst is like u barely have to move it. exactly what I was looking for

but tomb with the triax is the shift handle adjustable??
with my pro 5.0 there is 4 positions, high forward, low forward, high back, and low back (my choice) yes on the high position it isnt really a short shifter. low its shorter but not as much maybe about the same as the hurst. but i cut the threads on the **** and got it 3/4 of an inch shorter with full thread engagement and could probably go another 1/4 inch with full threads. so making mine definatly shorter then the hurst.
now its not a girl shifter as fifth takes some effort and reverse can be a biatch.
but you cant miss third and you always find the next gear... faster then the hurst.. period

dude. I love that freakin z06. Don't get me wrong, I love my car and all but my buddy bought one of those about a month ago and beat me by about 3 car lengths from a 40 roll....STOCK. I was so impressed, it's my dream to get one.
I am 45 yrs old and I've owned 47 cars. Lots of these were very nice and very fast. However, I have never been in such as radically fast car as my Z06. I would describe it as dangerously fast. 505 HP in a car this light is insane. Here's a fun fact for ya. The paint on my front fenders weighs more than the fenders themselves (carbon fiber). When you bring the rpm up to about 4k and step on the gas it's like someone stepped on a lions toes. All hell breaks loose, the 13 inch wide rear tires break loose and start spinning wildly, the car starts sliding sideways and you quickly become pinned in your seat like an amusement park ride.

the pro 5.0 is exact same as the steeda and I had it on the lowest and I also had my threads cut with a differnt handle on it and its not close to the hurst. the steeda rep even came into a thread not to long ago and said yeah its not as short as the hurst but it is a lil bit shorter then stock, he said about 20%. I was saying that its the same as stock so he corrected me....
