I like your taste in cars.

I like the cat, but it doesn't make me very happy when it wants to sleep over. So far all I have found is fur on the seat if I leave any of my three convertable tops down.

yeah i drove mine off the lot with the top down but im always afraid of cloudy days... i dont mind if i get rained on witht he top down but i AM afraid to be SEEN getting rained on... so the top stays up almost everytime i park it. i wouldnt know what to say about leaving the top down for 20 days.. besides i like the way it looks with the top up too... SO few soft top convertibles look this cool top up.

I wonder of we could get a turbocharger for the top... up/down in 5 seconds... that would be AWESOME!

 

actuallyi keep having this reocurring dream... that somone made an aftermarket hard top that was inspired by the NON fast back version of the 60's. in my dream it had a little too much chrome, but it was alot like whats on the tbird... im tryin to recreate it in photoshop...

 

i wish they had 18 inch versions of them though... unfotunately i think imma have to get new bigger wheels...

I am wanting a GT Vert and this will be my first convertible of any type. I was concerned about how the soft top will look several years down the road. I've seen lots of older verts whose tops look really bad, especially on Jeeps, but also on other vehicles.

QUESTION:
How much clearance is needed to put the top up or down? I'm curious, in a typical home garage, is there enough clearance to raise/lower the top. I'd like to keep mine in the garage with the top down, but only if there's enough room that I can put it up - say if it's raining when leaving the next morning. Sure don't wanna have to back out into the rain to put the top up.

ALSO, is there any harm in leaving the top down for extended periods, like overnight? Will that make it more wrinkled, or will the wrinkles stretch out ok when it is raised?

Mine will be a daily driver. Garaged at night, but out in the sun during the day. Wish I had a parking garage at work.
