Default Dealer Tunes

I have a 06 GT with XCAL2 / JLT 2 tune by Brenspeed on my car. Took my car to the dealer (return tune back to stock and removed CAI)...and they reprogramed my PCM to the latest calibration per tsb 08-18-2.

However, the "Strategy" didn't change...is it safe to load my tunes with a new calibration?

Sounds like you're good to go. HAD the strategy code changed, you would most likely NOT be able to reload your custom tune.

...so you can change the calibration (e.g. from DSG0 to DSG1) but keep the same Strategy (e.g. FBND255)?

If I load the oringal tune (FBND255 / DSG0)...will it erase the updates from the new calibration (FBND255 / DSG1)?

Only the tune related calibration, what was the update the dealer did?? if it was the airbag then you are ok!

...not sure i understand your question, however the dealer updated the PCM because the car would not start. They felt it was related to the TSB 08-18-2 (vehicles may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms: drive-away hesitation, loss of RPM on deceleration, difficulty starting, and/or idle RPM less than desired).
