That's actually a lie, they aren't all the same any more than axle backs are all the same.

I've got a BAMAchips 91 performance tune on my v6 convertible (no intake), Brenspeed has very little customer service and is understaffed as of mid last week. they have great people working there, but until they finish their expansion process they're second rate and have taken a long time to return calls for a local guy in the mustang club.

Doug at BAMA chips is an expert problem solver and not usually the mass market person. He's the best with the more complicated automatics and I gave him an insane tuning project last year for a custom car and he got it worked out with flying colors. The thing is though he's coming off better as of this week both in mass market and in the niche than Brenden. He's also a nicer guy in the end and will redo your tunes for free sometimes if you buy an intake from some one else.

Doug's tunes also cause less problems and work more consistently with things like Saleen superchargers and FRPP cams, and even CAIs with their rare problems.

So the choice depends on what you want, brendens tunes are stronger though.

Also the higher octane you pick the more money you save, when fuel hits 2,50 a gallon the price of octane booster in high octane gas compared to the price of gasoline itself favors the higher octane for being economical.

for example, you'll get 13 mpg on 87 and 14 mpg on 93 but the 87 will cost 2.50 and the 93 will cost 2.70. you do the math. Those mpg increase are verified numbers reported by at least dozens of forum members.

The C&L racer is the 2nd best intake on the market next to the Techo 100mm based on flow bench results. They're also the only two that i know of that were legitimately designed with aerodynamic engineering not hammers and marketing specialists.

hope that clears up a lot of intricate issues in your beginning to modding.
