Default Magnaflow Catted X Pipes question???

Hey guys I was leaning into buying Magnaflow Catted X Pipes and my question is will I need to get a new tune from Brenspeed or should I be fine without it?? I know L/T headers with off road mid is the way to go just that I live in cali and wont pass emissions or i'll have to R/R everytime smog comes around so I was going to get some shorties soon after any thoughts or advice will be appreciated THANKS..

sometimes, not all times, aftermarket catted midpipes might throw a CEL code even tho it has cats. if you do order from brenspeed, you should talk to someone on the phone and make sure they send you an inspection friendly tune along with the performance tunes, bc sometimes they turn off the rear O2's in their tune.

I'm throwing a code with my catted Bassani X-pipe. I'm going to order the "non-fouler" plugs from Brenspeed. They are supposed to pull the O2 sensors a little more out of the direct exhaust stream to prevent throwing a code.

You wont need a tune... Magnaflow catted x is the best one for Cali and no tune wise ! ...

Yeah it's the best for not throwing a code since the cats are in the stock location while a lot of the other pipes locate them farther down stream. I'm happy with mine, quality piece.

I have FRPP shorty ceramic headers, Magnaflow CATed True X, to Magnaflow 3" CAT back to Magnapacks, and it was an easy bolt on, no fabrication involved. I love my setup! I have an SCT tune, but if you just switch to a X pipe, a tune probably isn't required.
