pypes are known for bad fitment. dont know about their headers, tho. MAC is pretty good quality, similar to BBK. if you want the ***** best go with Kooks or ARH. i have BBK myself and the quality is pretty good, fitment was good also, but if i had to do it again i would go with Kooks or ARH.

I love my pypes kit. I have a hanger rattling a little, but I'm taking care of that this weekend. I really like the sound a lot.

I would LOVE to go with MAC if they weren't on backorder, I don't got the money for kooks or ARH, that's why I'm considering pypes even tho deep down I want to wait for MAC, but not knowing how long it will be until they're available again I'm not sure whether to wait for them or go with pypes.

EDIT: As far as the BBK did you get LT, because if they fit good and you compare them to MAC I'll go with them instead.

I've checked for mac headers at: latemodelrestoration, brenspeed, stage3motorsports, lethalperformance, mac website and even called all those previously mentioned, none have them.

to the poster requesting more info on pypes, it is pretty agreed upon that pypes do sound good, but trying to get them lined up is a pita, many of us have played with them pretty extensivly and still continue to have problems. under low RPMs mine rattles hard, hanger on bracket grinding. once i thought i had it good to go, i had one side sticking out 3 inches further than the other. anyway, i still swear by boomtubes and sorry i every switched

Well I think I'm just gonna wait until the beginning of next month see if MAC actually will start making their LT, if not by then I'll have enough money for kooks and I'll go with that.

Not sure if you saw the article in 5.0 magazine but mac had the best gain between all the major exhaust companies. Why do you think it's on back order? The quality is good.

As all have said, the pypes are inexpensive & my muffler deletes sound great. However, as all other have also stated fitment is horrible!! I had to end up taking my cat-back to a mufflers shop so they could heat it into place, if not there was NO way they would have lined up.

I recommend the ARE or kooks. SLP's should also be a good buy, but none of these three are cheap! I have used Mac's on my 1990, & my 1995 with no problems, but the finish is not as good as the three I mentioned above, if that does not bothyer you, get the MAC's...

Good luck!
