Default intake street vs racer

I'm looking into getting a cai through c&l can I get some feedback on the difference between the street and the racer, which makes more hp, is der certain requirement for each intake system. Please let me know

Although the Racer can pass just a bit more air than the Street, your engine can't do any more with it unless you're aspirated or heavily modded internally. Pick which one you like better. Neither one will make any noticeable difference in RWHP on a basically stock S197.

I didn't want to pay extra for the Street model, so I went with the Racer. It'll be nice to have that 95mm inlet if I get cams/heads.

Why is the street more expensive if the racer breathes better? Is they're technology so great its harder just to keep it under control?

I think its due to the material of the inlet tube used on the two models

Yep exactly. Aluminum vs plastic.

I got the C&L Street intake. I liked the look better than the racer model.
