One other thing to consider is potential damage this could cause. By having a non-pliable antenna something WILL break if it gets caught on your antenna. Food for thought.

I have had many billet antennas and never had a problem with them, I haven't even hear of that happening. It is a pretty remote thing to have something snag the antenna and break it.

I have heard of people breaking them off and the only thing that usually breaks is the screw that mounts the antenna.

IMO the stock antenna doesn't look that bad but looks kinda out of place, a billet shorty makes it look better. Not too sure on the chrome one though.
