Its big enough to call it a front orientated trunk.
Its so big, its aquires some of the cabin area.
Maybe a frontal crash crumple zone of sorts.
15-20 loaves of bread could be transported up there.
It even has an echo like the Grand Canyon, it is so big...

Yes, easy to reach with cowl cover open to check filter.
You can also check drain by looking between battery and valve cover
on firewall you will see a rubber grommet hanging down, there is a
slit in the bottom of it, this is where it gets plugged up, there is also
one on drivers side just behind valve cover, I removed the grommets to
let the area flush out every time it rains, alot of people have done this so
they don't have to worry about it, I guess if my engine ever blows I might
get a little smoke in cabin. These are like the grommets in the bottoms
of the doors, work good on paper but cause problems in real world.

The 'drain grommets' are designed to keep stray
Carbon Monoxide out of the cowl area and
help prevent it from being sucked into the
passengers compartment.
Same goes for the rubber cabin air exhaust
flaps in the trunk area.
Ford put them there for a reason...
Believe you me if Ford could have left them
off, they would have. I would not recommend
removing except for cowl vent area flushing and
then promtly replace them.
Unless you like unexplained headaches during driving...

Good reason to make sure your exhaust system is tight so all
of it goes out the back.
Look at all the after market hoods that don't run a weather strip,
where do you think that air goes.

I swapped mine at 15k and it was filthy. Now at 40k and it's probably filthy again. Purchased with the Amsoil preferred customer discount along with all my other amsoil filters/lubes. They supply every filter for this car... oil/ air/ fuel.
