How hard is it to just sell a light bulb that probably costs Ford a few cents..
Ridiculous.

Dude, for all the aggravation you are experiencing I would think it would be smarter and less stressful to buy the bulb online and replace it instead of dealing with chowder heads that work in customer service. You know how they have a script they have to stick to. I don't bother with idiots like that, I just make my own solutions. I would simply spend $7.00 and get 10 from lightemporium and never have to worry about it again.

I see what you are saying, I replaced mine with the Radio Shack bulb. It just irritates me that Ford won't own up to there mistake. The Radio Shack bulb works pretty good, but I would much rather have an OEM part.

Hmm....I don't drive too much at night so I have not noticed if mine is burnt out. I'll have to check it.
Guys I want to thank all of you for your hard work in finding a solution to a $97 problem. I agree with Joemustang07, Ford should care more about their customer because without us, they would have had to go to the Government for a hand out too.

Good thing Radio Shack isn't trying to rape us!

Default Bulb

I got a bulb from The Shack. The Shack bulb is quite a bit longer (maybe 1/8" - 3/16" longer) than the one that was in the switch. Will it still work OK?

The prongs are what are longer, not the bulb right? Cut the prongs and install, no big deal.

lol, I still have to figure this one out. Where do you get plastic tools btw? I don't want to just use a flat head and mess up the edges.. unless it's ok.
