new 2010 has arrived

Just curious as to how you chose to rationalize the purchase with the 2011's so close. My car gets built next week and I don't want to regret it 2 years from now.
Next, when I ordered this car, I didnt know anything about the 2011's.
Also, I guess it depends on what you want out of your car. If you are planning on doing alot of track time, or if you just enjoy knowing that your car is a mean machine, then by all means, the 2011 is worth the wait. However, if you are like me, not planning on taking it to the track alot, and do not really care too much for high end horsepower, then the 2010 is just fine. In fact, don't think for a second that the 2010's are a slouch. This 4.6 motor actually has plenty of power. More than you would expect. Just wait til you get yours and you'll see.

Thaks so much cgm10gt.
I am warming more and more to keeping the 2010 that is being built for me next week. I'm looking for this car to taking my kids and wife out for weekend fun. I'm thinking you are right that the 4.6 will be plenty for that task.
Congrats again on your car!

bah. you'll be faced with the same thing next year..... how can you justify getting a 2011 when the next body style is comin out the next! (correct me if i'm wrong... but isnt 2012 the year they're redoin it again??)... anyway regardless of that........ the 5.0 will be fast..... no kidding. but if you're using it for a daily driver im pretty sure a 4.6L is gunna do you just fine.... cause the 5.0 will depreciate just as fast as any other mustang has since 05 ! (Some will argue this, but it's true). Plus some of us are in situations where we have to pick a car NOW......

That was my justification. I need a car by the end of the month. My lease was up in November, extended it one month. Second car I was working on is in pieces and being parted out. So basically, as much as I wanted to wait for the 2011, i didnt have much of an option. At least I ordered my 2010 the way I wanted it =D

Congrats on the car! Very Nice!!
To the guy that is wondering about the '11's. I felt that way at first too. I didn't know anything about the 11's when I bought my car, just knew I always wanted a GT, so when I saw how awesome the 2010's were, I just had to get one.
I was a little disapointed when I first learned of the 5.0's but the more I drive this car the less I care about that. This is the most fun I have had driving a car ever. I looking foward to driving it eveyday and can see myself drving it for many years.
Just think though, you could be buying the last and most refined version of the 4.6.!

But I'm glad Ford is upping the ante, something else to look forward to!
