Im from maryland also, lol. Elkridge, MD. What part are you from? Are you getting any aftermarket parts? I just wanna know how this process works to fit the pricing in the estimate for the parts, since you are further along in the process than I am.
Sorry to hear about your accident. Winter is a tough time for us, even if it's not weather related!! I'm from the suburban Silver Spring area. I posted on your thread with more details. Glad to know you are ok. Keep us posted.

Finally got my supplement today. An additional $3,000 to repair. Hopefully the shop will get to it now.

Glad to hear your ok much easier to fix steel and plastic than flesh and bone. Good to hear your getting some mods out of this. This is why my mustang comes off the road at the first snow and stays off till snow season is over this but manly because of the amount of SALT!!! NY puts on the road my driveshaft and brake drum rusted out on my ranger but body stayed fine lol.

Default I had similar incident

I was lucky I didn't take anyone else with me, crossed 2 lanes until I wrecked. Sigh. Think I should of just tried to wipe out in the ditch instead, probably would of spared the damages.

The front left is completely smashed up to the fog light, the guard rail wailed down the whole left side and the left rear is crushed from the fuel door to the lights. Would insurance consider this a total loss or will they try to repair?

My poor baby, I am so heartbroken. I save it from a car jacking just to wreck it
I had a similar accident in my 2006 S281 SC on my way to work. I haven't driven it all week and then decided to drive it to work on that Friday. I probably shouldn't have since it was 10 degrees when I left my apartment downtown. I wasn't even a mile away when I was getting on the onramp. It was a short onramp so I gave it just a little gas to get up to the speed limit. The issue is when I turned my head to the left to make sure it was clear, and felt my tail end drifting toward the guard rail. My tail end drifted 90 degrees before I even made it onto the highway. I let off the gas and tried to correct by turning into the direction of my rear end. My car went 180 the other way and then I again turned in the way of my rear end to try and get in the direction of the hightway. No luck, My car went 270 degrees into a guard rail impacting my front left corner and spinning my tail end into the guard rail for final impact. My airbags never deployed and I didn't feel any pain from the wreck. I was just in total shock at what the heck happened. I'll post some photo's for all to see. I'm still wondering why the heck my tail end slid 90 degree's out from under me. I wasn't even really getting on it and I had traction contol on. I've gotten on my Saleen many times just having fun and had my tail end almost 90 degrees out from under me but I've always been able to control the car and ride it out. This time I wasn't even getting on it and I was completely hopeless. I believe the accident was due to a combination of dry ice, loose gravel, and bumpy up hill on ramp. Very disappointed but I guess **** happens. BTW my estimate came in at just over $13k
for the damages.

Ouch, looks almost just like mine In the end, mine was nearly $10k in damages.. I'm actually having issues with the body shop and ended up with another thread going on here, and still don't have my car back yet lol. It's pretty sad.. almost had it reined up then it went out. What kind of shocked me was that after I spun, hit the guard rail with my driver side rear, it kept going up the hill.. in reverse?? I never switched gears, I have an automatic.. strange huh.

I'm in the northern Silver Spring area. Closer to the Washington DC metro area.

Guess I'm lucky the body shop still has my car so its clean and garaged. Our street has been unplowed too.. A neighbor with a 4x4 truck was able to carve a path out.. We're the fist house on the corner, but everyone else has been making the hike in the snow to the main road. No way to get to work today.. but the power just had to go out

That's a beautiful Saleen Loadsmasher. Luckily, there were no injuries. After having 8 Stangs over the last 21 years, my advice to everyone for winter driving is: 1. Don't drive it(obviously) 2. If you have to, put weight in the trunk(I use 3 50lb plates) which works good, and 3. Press the accelerator like you have an egg under your foot. I have had 1 minor mishap in all those years living in Jersey with my '00 GT, which fortuneately only resulted in a damaged rim. These cars are like skates, and technology over the years has made them better. The Fox Body Stangs were a nightmare in anything other than dry weather. Good luck with the repairs. Scott.
