No he's not. Go back to his website and try to order a tune. You can't log in to place an order.

Oh yeah the charge has definitely gone through on my card. No I have not paid it yet. Discover said they can only collect from paypal if paypal is able to retrieve the funds from Bamachips. No Discover purchase protection. I told them I am going to start using my Visa more now because of this. The rep then told me a "personal" story about how she ordered an online X-mas gift with Visa and the company went out of business. She Visa did not cover the charge either.

Maybe times really are changing in this aspect.

At this point, it's best to forget about Bamachips...
The guy obviously can't run his business anymore.
Sad, but the Mustang community can't be suffering because of it.

Well see if that motivates him at all. I'll let you folks know how it goes.
Well, I've been waiting since Nov. 1st. I placed a complaint with the BBB on Jan. 4th. According to them he has until the 19th to reply, but this Monday I'll contact the Alabama Attorney General and file a complaint through there. My patience all but ran out.

So he has problems? No ****, I have problems too, so does every living human being, that's not an excuse to keep people's money.

I urge anyone who knows him personally and is able to reach him, to tell him about this thread and to show up here with some really credible stories and firm delivery schedules, otherwise he's going to find himself in even deeper trouble come tomorrow.

For those willing to take action, this is the Alabama Attorney General's page for consumer complaints:

WoW I just read threw all these pages and cant believe it came to this. I had his intake/tune back when I had my s197 and it was amazing. It does suck he has problems, but like mentioned above, that is no reason to keep peoples money.

Doug needs to chime in on this thread.......this thread is getting close to be closed as it is so not tech but more of a stepping ground to complain about Doug and the lack of response he has given to the many members that have bought from him.
Sorry guys but the forum doesn't protect you when a transaction goes bad and talking about it on the forum is fine but in the right section (OT)......Matt and pascal have been following it and I will discuss this thread with them and close or move it where we see fit.

Carry on until then

this reminds me of another story on another forum, guy had been a memeber of the forum since it started, was a great vendor and very very active with the whole group. he basicly sold a but load of parts, had the best prices and all the forum business went to him becuase of it.....long story short, he had a second job where he was the purchacing manager, and bought everything for that company, he was actually buying everything for his business using his second jobs credit card.last count i saw it was well over $700k they had on him, needless to say,hes in prison now.....and nobody on the forums saw it coming!! alot of people lost there money towards the end.these where guys buying motors with thousands of dollars on the line.

everyone trusted him and he turned out to be into some pretty bad sh$t.

I just wish this thread was around when I made my order. Could have saved myself a $700 headache...

i think moving it would be a bad choice,no offense, but this is where most everyone hangs out, seems like we would not want anyone else wasting thier time with bama until he gets his act together.JMHO

I think moving it is fine as it's not even remotely tech, but don't close it as it might help others avoid him. God knows, I wish I'd seen a thread like this before I threw my money away......
