I can understand being freaked out in this situation that involves a good chunk of cash, but some of these guys on here are just big babies. Maybe they just haven't been in a serious life experience yet (too young? lucky so far?) where a million things are thrown at you at once and every one of those things goes from bad to horrific. Business owner or not, Doug is still a person who's vulnerable just like anyone else.

Doug is NOT the kind of person to scam anyone (those of us around here who are not total noobs knows this) and with what's going on in his life, the last thing he needs is to scam a bunch of people landing him in jail, losing rights to see his kids FOREVER and ruin his professional career for life. Doug is the kind of guy that would give his shirt off his back to someone in need. He's just in a situation that's literally tearing his life apart besides being under-staffed for his customer base. There are times in life that no matter what you do, you're in a hole and each step out puts you two steps back in.

To those who purchased from Doug and is still complaining like a little bitch, drop your damn "Fast Food" attitude of wanting everything right now 10 minutes ago and be patient. It does pay off and you WILL get your money back. Acting like a fool ain't going to get anything resolved any quicker.

Damn Internet keyboard jockeys....

I dont see why people think all the sudden hes been vindicated. Some people might be getting tunes from him, but there is a good number of people waiting. This has nothing to do with people wanting things right this second. That may have been a valid a month after someone ordered stuff. Im still waiting on correct tunes i ordered late october. I would say that is a little past instant gratification. I have tried not to dog on the dude, but regardless of personal problems, his business skills will likely be the nail in his coffin. I pretty much wrote off his holy grail tunes last week and ordered from Brenspeed. It was an additional cost, but im sick of looking at the tuner and intake sit around. Brenspeed has been quick and courteous. I find it hard to believe that Doug is responding to emails in order, my last email was sent early December...Whatever reputation he built is tarnished. And regardless of what people think of him personally, business is business. And he failed that class badly.

Really... It sucks to have money "tied" up for sure, specially in this crappy *** time.... I highly doubt that Doug is running off with the money from people who ordered parts from him. An unfortunate situation that happens with a "small" business is that to the supplier, the small business is last with getting parts from them. I know that from experience and am sure Doug was not first on every ones list.... Seeing it is that his prices are more "generous" than other vendors, some felt more compelled to buy from him due to his attractive prices. Unfortunately, seein it is times are tough it looks like he got dumped on by us tryin to save money and he got overwhelmed. One thing I have learned from "buying" on the internet from smaller sites is to actually call in before you order and ask ETA questions then. If I get no answer, then I would look elsewhere. I agree with you all on the part about the lack of communication and lag on the order. I think anything past a month is really not worth the wait. I guess all I can say is take the proper steps to see if you can get your product, or if you are beyond that, get your money back. I hope all works out for those waiting and everything shapes back up for Doug. Another thing, if you haven't bought from Doug and aren't really looking to, or don't have anything your waiting on from him.... Don't bash the dude.... I am sure he reads the forums from time to time. Don't hold the dudes head under the water. We are all human after all.....

I feel for Doug adn love his tunes, but some of these folks have waited up to three months for their product. They have been MORE than patient. The "Fast Food" attitude expires within 2 weeks.

If this was any other vendor experiencing the same delays with product delivery and refunds, I'm sure they'd be slammed in a heartbeat.

Hmm, Apparently the Alabama State Legislature suffers from "Fast Food Mentality":

-----

Code of Alabama

Section 8-19-5
Unlawful trade practices.

The following deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any trade or commerce are hereby declared to be unlawful:

(17) After receipt of payment for goods or services, failing to ship the goods or furnish such services within the time advertised or otherwise represented or, if no specific time is advertised or represented, failing to ship the goods or furnish such services within 30 days, unless within the applicable time period the seller provides the buyer with the option to either cancel the sales agreement and receive a refund of all previous payments to the seller or to extend the date to a specific date proposed by the seller. Any refund shall be mailed or delivered to the buyer within 10 business days after the seller receives written notification from the buyer of the buyer's option to cancel the sales agreement and receive the refund.

-----

Now, from Bama's own site:

Hello and thank you for your purchase.

All orders take 7-10 business days from the time of purchase until you receive the order, unless otherwise noted. It is possible that I may be out of stock on an air intake order as the C&L’s are known to be out of stock on a regular basis so in the case it is likely to take just a bit longer, this is noted on my website. Normally the wait isn’t more then 15 days on anything.
