Default meguiars tire shine

Hello,

My gf bought me Meguiars Tire Shine for a Christmas present. After washing my ties and giving them a good scrub with a brush, I sprayed on the foam.

After a few minutes, the foam started "melting" away and brown liquid was pooling on the ground under my tire.

Dose anyone know if this is a good product? I just washed and scrubbed my ties, and I am not sure how so much brown liquid could be coming off. I don't want to use a spray that is actually "eating" away at my tires.

Thanks for the help.

I have a similar spray, but not the Meguiars...usually, its from the dirt thats right between the wheel and tire itself...

Best product I have found to clean the tires before you apply tire dressing is Westley's;

http://www.westleys.com/

That brown stuff you are describing is dirt and grime.

Black hides a lot of dirt and grease. You may think they're clean but you just proved they weren't. Meguiars is a decent product and shouldn't harm your tires.

I've tried a different tire foam cleaner, doesn't do a great job but gets some of the dirt loose enough for hand scrubbing. Guess it's better to have a start than nothing.

I've used Meguiars shine spray, not a foam.

Worked fine.

Your tire's are filthy, clean 'em, spray 'em... move on.
