Whipple ordered!
Yeah the coolant hoses under the intake was a PITA. Getting to the 13mm bolt behind the passenger side head to free the hard lines was also a pain.
I removed the bumper first because I knew I had to install the intercooler later on. It also made it easier to drain the radiator. The first step was to drain the radiator, disconnect the radiator hose; then remove the air box and intake manifold.
Agreed, those two 13MM bolts on the hard lines were a PITA for me. When you get to the fuel pump install dont be frightened by all the bad stories out there. The pumps are pretty easy just take your time.
Ok guys...how did you connect the supplied heater hose to the bottom heater hose? This connects to the passenger side water cross over. It appears that Whipple didn't include a coupling to connect the two hoses together. Did yours come with one or did you have to go buy one? All the auto parts stores are closed so I'm dead in the water right now.
bummer, if I'm thinking of the right thing in the kenne bell kit you modify the stock heater hoses by separating the two hard pipes from each other then there's a new hose that you use to reassemble the lower hose. (think it's the lower hose anyway) if the Whipple kit is the same way and you don't have that hose you're kinda screwed
got a Walmart near you? they probably have heater hose, you might be able to rig up what you need to keep going.

I have the hose that connects to the upper heater hose and it runs down into the valley and connects to the heater hose bung. The hose I'm concerned about is the lower heater hose that routes to the outside and connects to the Whipple supplied hose and that in turn connects to the water cross over on the passenger side.
In a lot of pictures of other Whipples, I noticed there's no fuel line running across the top of the blower like Whipple tells you to do in the instructions. I followed the instructions and I think it looks ugly over the top. How did you guys run that fuel line?
As for the HD tensioner, you may want to look up Thumper RRR. . .
FWIW, my 3.25 Gen 2 Whipple dynoed at 506 Hp at 13 lbs. boost. with no other changes. This is with an automatic. A little high on stock internals if you ask me, but I don't claim to be an expert. I replaced the pulley with a 3.4 to lower the boost a little and still see almost 12 lbs. Still too high for stock internals IMO.
You may want to consider getting a fan for the HE while you have everything apart. The HE will do little to lower IAT's when the car is standing still, and lower IAT's decrease the chance of detonation.
Keep in mind the Whipple kit, although complete, is an entry level kit . . .
Good progress.
with the KB kit they supply a new fuel line to connect the two fuel rails that's long enough to go along the firewall out of site.
