my fuel pressure at idle is right around 40psi with the BAP running. it depends on load how crazy it'll get with the pressure, highest I've seen is 60-something PSI.

AF ratio should be anywhere between 14.5-15.5:1 in part throttle. full throttle would typically be 11-12:1 depending on the tuner's preferences and how much timing he's running. Kenne Bell sets the AF ratio at 11.5:1 for full throttle which I confirmed when I dyno'd my car. 9:1 would be very low, typically a gauge can't read that low and you're losing a lot of power at that point. 12.7:1 in full throttle full boost would be a little aggressive. that's leaner than I would want to run on the street but it depends on the timing. the richer the tune the slower the burn and the more timing you typically can run. leaner mixtures burn faster so you run less timing. ultimately as long as you're not getting any knock you're fine.

in loud cars knocking can be harder to hear so you'll have to rely on the feel of how it's pulling. if it ever feels like it's breaking up and not pulling smoothly then let off the gas. it should always pull smoothly and hard to redline, any hiccups could be knock and if they happen consistently talk to your tuner about them so he can fix them. detonation is what will kill a motor faster than anything else so just train yourself to get off the throttle if something doesn't feel right.

vacuum at idle I see around -20 in/hg on stock stock cams, that's right.

congrats man, I'm glad it scared you when you punched it, that means it was worth it enjoy this part, shortly you'll get used to it and then you'll need more power

Thanks for the info! You almost have to learn to drive your car again with a s/c. Gotta control yourself to go easy on the pedal because it takes off so quick now.

definitely take your time and don't push your luck, you don't wanna hurt that purdy car!

Have you guys noticed there's a hole right in the middle of the Whipple pulley? When I was adding s/c oil and I plugged the oil fill hole with the bottle and was squeezing the oil out, I can hear air coming out of the center of the pulley. At first I had no idea where the sound was coming from until I put my finger over the center of the pulley and can feel air rushing out as I was squeezing the bottle. What is that hole for?

I asked Jared at Lethal Performance about it and he said it's a breather hole to relieve excess pressure inside the gear case of the s/c.

Does anyone use breathers for their crankcase? What about oil separators/catch cans? Just wondering if I should add those.

You'll never pass inspection in CA with breathers. You can go with catch cans on both sides (closed system), or breathers on both sides (open system). Don't mix and match it doesn't work that way. And yes, you should use something or you'll chance detonation due to oil build up in the intake.

I may run a catch can at some point but right now I'm not, I just have it hooked up the default recirculating way. I'm in Florida with no emissions or inspections so I don't have to worry about anything even when we did emissions back in the day they just did the sniffer and a visual for the cat, they didn't look at anything else.
