Congrats !!!!! If you are planning on relocating the IAT you need to do it with the blower off. You need to drill a 3/8 NPT hole into one of the intake runners. You can make one of the plastic sensors fit into the hole on the passenger side but I wasnt a fan of the plastic sensor. You could drill it now and just put a plug in it until you have a tune for it. I put mine in the second from the front drivers side runner. It easy to do. I got mine thru Lethal also, great company to deal with.

interesting, I figured Whipple would have that already done as part of their kit. FWIW on the Kenne Bell kit the new IAT sensor is located on the forward most driver's side intake runner (I don't know what cylinder number that is ) but I'd be surprised if the location was really critical.

It can be put on the front runner on the Whipple you just have to be careful as the intercooler line runs across that area.

Good idea on pre-drilling a hole for the IAT! What size drill bit did you use, 3/8? Do I need a tap and die set to thread the hole? Where did you get that sensor in the picture if you didn't like the plastic one?

what goes into the passenger side back manifold runner. there is a small plug that screws into that runner. can that be used for an IAT sensor?

First off is it tuned for an after the intercooler iat?

I used the that hole for mine. I also used a plastic iat sensor and turned it down so it could be threaded with a 1/8 npt die. It's been that way for over a year with no problems. The plastic iat part number is dy 754 or 735. A quick search would turn it up. The 1/8 npt die can be picked up at a plumbing supply store or even at Lowe's.

that plug is for connecting a boost gauge. Im not a big fan of the plastic sensor.

The drill bit size is 37/64" or 9/16". You need only a 3/8" NPT Tap that you can pick up from NAPA. Its very simple, takes about 10 minutes and use oil when you use the TAP. AS others stated you need to do it why the manifold is off the car. I relocated mine to the second runner like they have done. You can purchase them from Benspeed or VMP.
