You can good enough access to the plenum by taking off the passenger side cowl cover with out taking off the wipers. Just turn the key off when the wipers are in up posistion and they are out of the way of pass. side cover. Phillips screw driver backs out the center pin in the plastic fasteners and off it comes.

The drains are a well known issue.
Looks like you should have tackled
this job post water intrusion.
Thats not the only known point for water intrusion.
There are numerious TSBs out on the subject.
08s leak sometimes as well as the 05s and the 06es and the 07s and the 09s.
The TSB below shows it to be for the 2005-2009 model years...
ps put the SJB 'protector' back in place
