Default Lowering Question

I recently got some new rear tires. I used to have 275/35 20s on the back, but I wanted a wider tread. I got some 285/30s, since any brand fo 285/35s were almost double the price. Didn't think going to 30 would make too much of a difference, but it did, although it seems like I'm the only one who can see it. The tire definitely looks a little smaller in the wheel well, but the biggest problem is that it seems that the gap between the top of the tire and fender is huge. I've been thinking about lowering my car anyway, not too much, probably just a little over an inch, and I think this really sealed the deal. I want to actually get a spring kit and not just cut the stock springs. I know there are other things I can do as well to lower it, but if I just put new springs in, like the eibach springs AM sells, would I be fine, or would I have to worry about other issues? Let me know what you guys think.

Cutting your springs is ill-advised, its best to keep them around in stock condition in the event you'd wanna throw them back on. I'm running the Pro-Kit and I love the stance it gives my car. There is more to it than just springs, it's recommended to swap out the springs while you're at it...I'm not an expert at this so I'll let others chime in

search is your best friend.

perhaps stop into the S197 Handling area...up near the top of the page where you posted this thread.

simply put, no you only need the new springs. run about $150-250 depending on brand. other stuff is nice, but not required

Thanks for the help. I did search around for quite a bit before I submitted this thread, I'm not new here. Thanks though, I'll give that a look.

This is how it sits with my new wheels (offset of the rims make a huge difference):
