Default 67 Shelby Replica Hood

A while ago I ran across an ebay ad for some headlight covers for the 05's. They looked okay, but what really caught my eye was one of the cars used to model the covers; specifically it's hood.

Clicky

So I got into some dialogue with the seller to find out more about it. They fabricated the hood themselves, and generally the company sells cars they modify, not individual pieces.

However, if anyone might be interested, the person I spoke to mentioned that they would be willing to sell just the hood for $650. The only catch is that, since the company is not used to selling individual parts, they have no means of shipping it. Therefore the buyer would have to either arrange for shipping themselves or pick up the hood at their address in Orlando, Florida.

I really like the hood, so I'm seriously considering buying it from them. I just thought I would mentioned it in case anyone else might be interested as well.

Their website is www.vantagesportscars.com

You can either get in touch with them through their Ebay name of drmjk58, or e-mail them at sales@vantagesportscars.com

Hummm... Are they absolutely sure they fabricate the hood? Looks alot like the Legend hood.

Not really the same, I think. And I still like the 67 hood more.

The Legend hood looks wider, whereas the 67 just goes from the stripes. The 67 extends longer down the hood as well.

Of course it could just be the angle. Or I could be blind, it's known to happen.

Krazed,

First off, thanks for showing me the two different styles of hood. So far, I have been eyeing the GTR Ram Air Hood, but not too thrilled about the price tag.

My goal is to build a Shelby clone that resembles a 1967 Brittany Blue Shelby GT 500. Mods will include centering headlights in grille, ducktail spoiler, GTR or similar hood, and a CDC chin spoiler. Then the suspension lowered down, and some mods to increase horse power. The ultimate goal is the have a car that will be in the 12's and pull close to 1g on the skid pad.

So any updates you get, I hope you wouldn't mind sharing.

Thanks in advance and good luck with your mods!
