i know it sucks when i'm granny shifting and my rpms drop and i'm going from 1st to 4th and have to find 3rd or 2nd to keep moving with the flow of traffic on hills and crap around these parts of the world

Hello,

I wanted to post a bit of information regarding this. Skip Shift has springs in the transmission that want to make the shifter go to center. When the light is on, even though it has resistance, it is still possible to jam it into second. It is recommended to shift to forth for better fuel economy. If you still have questions, I recommend you contact your dealer for a more detailed answer. Hope that helps!

The skip shift system got the GT past the Gas Guzzler Tax. GT 500s are subject to it skip shift or not.

Case in point why one size can not fit all. Why have a manual transmission if shifting decisions are removed from the driver. My being the power management system is why I prefer the manuals. Gears are always where they will be needed next instead of where they were needed last.
