Default New Mustang owner looking for suggestions

Hello everyone,
This is my first time to this website and my first mustang. So forgive me if I sound like an idiot.
I read in the messages how to increase horsepower on the 2005 v6 engines.
I recently purschased a K&N air induction system and hopefully will install this weekend.
But I noticed everyone mentions a CPI-2 or similar suggestions.
My question(s) are, is this a chip that changes the horsepower? Is this expensive? Can a novice install this? Does it void the warranty once installed? If difficult, does anyone know of a place in Northern NJ that can do this work, and one that you would recommend.

Thanks for your help, and my apologies if this subject and been discussed, and discussed, etc.
I'm also a former corvette owner, 75.

Yep! This has been discussed lots of times.
The best thing to do is to search this forum since, I don't think, people want to repeat the same things.

Yes, do a search on tuners, and programmers. You'll want to get one.
