Did you see the new time on the Nurburgring for the ZR 1 with it's lighter wheels and better tires. 6 seconds faster than it's previous awesome time. The car is visually stunning.

So comparing a fit out V-6 compared to the V-8, and taking crap for your V-6 needs to be put into context to the levels above. The power and handling improvements never seem to be good enough. Erik

 

Don't worry about it. You will get it from kids and adults (especially on forums). You have a great car, enjoy it, and don't give a crap about what others think.

I loved my 4.0. I would have kept it if I could have.

Let's see, I have had my car for a little over a month. I am getting great gas milage (28.2 on a 1500 mile trip 1 week after I got it). Wife and kids love it (son 29 and daughter 25). And I have had at least 10 strangers have out of the blue told me my car was beautiful. I had muscle cars in the 70's (GTOs, Mustangs, AAR Cuda, Superbee, and others). I am over the mega power thrill. My 2011 V6 has more horsepower than a GT from just a few years ago. I miss the exhaust sound from my 97 GT, but I love this car.

 

most people think mine is a gt till I tell them its a six, followed by an awwww , then I tell them it supercharged , followed by a hell yeaah !!!

 

Lol! Me too! When I say its a V6 they're like ".....oh ok" but then I tell them its supercharged they're like "thats badass!"

 

I've only had 1 mustang...a v6...then it was supercharged...then it was a v8...now it's a supercharged v8.
You'll get **** from someone somewhere, no matter what you drive. But, it's YOUR car, so ENjOY IT!

FWIW, even though my car is now nearly double the power, I really miss the V6 with supercharger. It was so different, yet earned lots of respect at the track for kicking the *** out of V8 cars.

Regardless...you have a Mustang, and ANY Mustang is better than any Honda!!! ...or any other car, for similar pricing.

Most of the people who talk **** thing they have something to prove or are not exactly of the 'mature mentality'. A real car buff will appreciate any nice car, regardless of drivetrain.

I have no problem with someone telling me my car is lame because it is a v6, I just respond to them...does your car have a glass roof? rear view camera? navigation system?
