Instead of modding your current car any further, why not put that money aside and save it for a down on a new GT or if you want an older GT, to buy an older GT outright? Afterall, mods are very expensive and unfortunately do very little (most of the time, nothing) to increase the sale value of your current car.

Just enjoy what you have for now, you have a nice car, after all it could be worse, you could have been stuck in a civic, yet you have a much better car than that.

I have a knot in my stomach since the install with the tune not being 100% and having to wait a month for my dyno tune killlledddd me. I may be paranoid, and yes I will admit it, but like alec said you have to pay to play. I'm 18 and dont have the money to replace a blown motor, tranny, etc.. My dyno tune is tomorrow so hopefully all goes well and I can start enjoying it, but dude this is an expensive hobby. If you want it done, you have to do it right. Buy a s/c and have it installed and DYNO TUNED by a reputable shop. If you have to wait, you have to wait and theres no way around that if you want things done right. Like I already said, I installed my s/c in june and will hopefully be able to enjoy the car after tomorrow.
After your dyno tune some of that parnoia will go away... I was the same way initially but after a few months I stopped worrying so much.

I was in the EXACT same boat as you (still am actually xD). I wanted a 5.0 REALLY badly but then when I pulled out the calculator I realized it wasn't going to happen. Well, I could have made the payments fine, but if I lost my job the car would soon follow and THAT would be a real slap in the face. So I "settled" for my 07 GT instead (to think I almost got a Rx-8, yuck!).

Of course, after driving my GT around for a bit, now I (like you) am craving more power xD. I looked into headers, cams, tunes, superchargers, turbochargers, dodge chargers (ok, not that last one :P) but I still have 2 years left on my loan and I don't want to put any down 4-6k on mods when I still owe money on the car.

In the end, I think I'm going to have to agree with gburke1. Wait a few years for the '14/'15 50th anniversary edition, maybe do a few little mods here and there in the mean time; then you can really own a nice piece of pony history.

Just my 2 cents,
Drew

^I've got to agree with this. Although it's hard to start saving up money (believe me, I've hit a brick wall over the past couple months), if you want that nice new car, you'll either have to save up, or wait until you're in a better financial situation.

However, that doesn't mean you can't spend a little money on the ride you've got now to hold you over for the next couple of years. This is the current situation that I'm in. I'll be waiting for the 2014/2015, but thats at least two years away! When the mod bug bites, it's hard not to scratch...
