Saleen Short Throw Adapter Block -- halp!
Hey guys,
I don't know if you remember, but someone posted a thread with a link to a short throw adapter from saleen on ebay a week or so ago. Well, they didn't want it, and it was only $15, so I bought it. However, here's the problem: It came in today, and everything is fine except that it is missing the silver bushing:
As far as I can tell, the only purpose of the bushing is to keep the bolt from moving up and down. However, if you tighten the bolt down and loctite it like Tacobill suggests ( https://mustangforums.com/forum/2005...s-and-vid.html ) then it won't move at all. Basically, this step minus the bushing:
Now, the question. Do I need to find a bushing like this, get somebody to fab one, or can I just put this in as is with no problems?

I paid $15 for an entire shifter assembly, a shifter ****, and the adapter. It was worth the risk. And the part I'm talking about isn't very important from what I can tell. I'm hoping someone with knowledge of the actual adapter can chime in.
