Yes i would like to be able to stay on the limiter during a burnout if i want, and i also dont want to have my power killed for a second if i accidently hit the limiter when i hold a gear a bit too long, flames and explosions at redline are a very welcome side effect. Consistent launches are another major benefit and probably the primary reason. Having to remove the cats is a deal killer for my current situation though.

Hit redline with MSD and blast flames/bounce
Hit redline stock and get your fuel/power cut off for a second

Hitting the stock redline is punishing and an obvious mistake, the MSD makes it less punishing and more rewarding (if you like to blast flames and make some noise.. ).

Does your exhaust shoot flames when you stay on the 1st step? Any vids of yours?

And you COULD do a burnout staying on the limter with this type of limiter right? and flames/explosions would be shooting out the back adding to the awesome level of the burnout correct? I like being full throttle and being able to just stay full thottle and give it 100% without worry of losing power.
Then I think you're asking the wrong people for help. Near as I can tell, this is more of a lowrider/F&F/small segment of street rodding thing.

I still dont know why you didnt mention it. I say, learn how to use this type of rev limiter to blast, make a vid and post. Its a crime against nature, mankind and your username not to.
Ummmm, maybe showing off like that isn't something the rest of us are particularly interested in doing, never mind recording and bragging about.

Then again, a classmate of mine in 8th grade shop class (who had repeated the same grades at least twice by then) thought the flames-out-the-pipe trick would be cool to do. Even talked about rigging spark plugs in the pipes to help make sure it would light off . . . . strange the things you remember given the right (?) prompting.

Bouncing off the rev limiter while doing a 100 yard burnout is what I call an "american tuneup".

really clears out that engine... and exhaust system lol

(not too serious). anyway i did receive and return the msd.

ever heard of an italian tuneup? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italian_tuneup

yea well we need a badder assed american version of that, so i just made it. Too bad its just not possible to do on 2005+ mustangs without the MSD and with cats lol.

I did this with my 03 mustang though a few times, had to make sure my clutch and differential were functioning good :

no brakes 1st and 2nd gear, stock 03 gt engine, differential seemed to be functioning fine and that rev limiter didnt seem to kill power. I dont think i was actually on the limiter the whole time for this one though.

Because obviously I was born in January and plainly, as I drive a lowly V6 I can't be nearly as manly as you...

Look, I have tried to help you, albeit I may have been negative about it. Sorry. However, if you are proud of the fact you are a crappy driver and you want to flaunt it and refuse to take advice, good luck too you.

Dude no reason to **** talk a newer member who has a v6.
Granted we all love to playfully jab other engine owners, but saying he doesn't know **** just because of that is stupid.

I'm pretty sure you can find the door and if you refuse to accept what we try to tell you then telling you not to let it hit you on the way out will be a moot point
