There should be 13.7 to 14.4 volts at 2000 RPM, at the battery terminals.

11.9V after charging is still too low, should be 12.x volts, not under 12V.

If the the battery can't provide the voltage or current, then the alternator is taxed.

The Battery is mainly for starting, and accessory power. The car runs off the Alternator
through the battery when driving. If your alternator were to fail, your car won't last 20
minutes running off just the battery. So, no, the car does not run just off the battery
when the engine is running. 40 to 60 AMPS of that power is charging the battery, the
rest is used by the car's electrical system. There must be at least 13.7 volts to
charge the battery properly.

Every time you start the car, you need 20 minutes of run time to restore the battery
to to full charge.

B1342 is a faulty ECU.

Thanks, it's going to the shop today. Looks like B1342 can point to several different things. I'm hoping it got set due to the shutdown on the highway last Friday.
These codes are from a manual for the 2007 Mustang, Mustang GT 8/2006

B1342 ECU is Faulted ABS Module CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
INSTALL a new ABS module. REFER
to Section 206-09. CLEAR the DTCs.
REPEAT the self-test.

B1342 ECU is Faulted Audio Unit CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
INSTALL a new audio unit. REFER to
Section 415-00. CLEAR the DTCs.
REPEAT the self-test.

B1342 ECU is Faulted Instrument CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
Cluster DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
INSTALL a new instrument cluster.
REFER to Section 413-01. CLEAR the
DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

B1342 ECU is Faulted RCM CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
INSTALL a new RCM. REFER to
Section 501-20B. CLEAR the DTCs.
REPEAT the self-test.

B1342 ECU is Faulted Satellite CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
Radio DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
Receiver INSTALL a new satellite radio receiver.
REFER to Section 415-01. CLEAR the
DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

B1342 ECU is Faulted SJB CLEAR the DTCs. RETRIEVE the
DTCs. If DTC B1342 is retrieved again,
INSTALL a new SJB. REFER to Smart
Junction Box (SJB) in this
