2012 premium convertible:

The trunk release button gets stuck in the down position when pushed. It releases the trunk and the trunk can be closed without any problem. The only issue in getting the button to pop back up. I have used a small amount of silicone spray, no help. I used a very thin flat head screwdriver to pop it back up and this works but obviously this is not the solution. I can use the key, but I prefer to use the console button when I am in the car.

Time for a new button... Should be able to use any momentary switch. I would surmise the
spring in the switch is bad.
