If the 3rd brake light is out will that affect the trunk light?

 

No, I didn't even have a trunk light, I had to make one....

The 3rd brake light is on a separate line from the brake switch, so that it still
works even if the tails go out.

If you lost the center tail, and the trunk light, then you need to check the
passenger side wire bundle that feeds the release, light, and center light.


Could be a short, and both bulbs blew out.

 

thanks, I'll check that. Trunk light didn't look like it was burned out but the 3rd brake light was burned out. Stuck in a new trunk light and it didn't work either.
