Nice looking Mustang, sounds like you are having a lot of fun fixing it up. I have an 07 GT, absolutely love the look of the 05-09s. I have a question for you: I had a 66 Mustang when I was in high school and I have always wondered how much better handling the ride on the newer cars is. I haven't been able to drive one of the original cars since I let mine go in 1972. Of course I know its much better, but could you comment on how the ride and handling of your Comet compares to the Mustang?

Hey Ray, the comet is a bit scary, does not handle, brake or accelerate well. Only a 170 ci 6 cylinder at 101 hp and a two speed auto tranny.. Wish it had the 260 v8.. A bit hairy at times... At least the previous owner had three point seat belts installed , both front and two rear positions.. Kind of reassuring to have shoulder belts in a 60 year old car... I was actually hit and run while driving home from a evening car cruise in.. Car took the hit in the rear pretty well. After I had the bumper repaired I was amazed the the bumper support did not change position.. Remounted the bumper and it hung straight and level...

The 09 is night and day, so glad I spotted it and was able to buy it.. Great car.. I have a 99 528 msport sedan also... had it for 5 years now, great car. It's said they are the last of the hand built fivers... 168k on it, youd never know it , car always gets compliments

That BMW is a nice looking car, I 'll bet it handles like a dream. I have a 2001 SLK 320 as well as the Mustang, a little two seat hard top convertible. I remember those two speed automatics, the hi beam switch on the floor, and a simple AM radio. I always tell younger folks:"They don't build 'em like they used to, they build them a whole lot better now."

Thanks Ray, IT IS a pleasure to drive... We have family in nc, that's our highway cruiser from N.Y. to NC... I had a Chrysler Crossfire coupe a couple years back with 16k miles on it, sold it 6 months later with 22k... Was mb 320 underneath.. Very cool fun little car... I'm always swapping off rides... Something I enjoy doing... Life's too short ya gotta have fun... I've been called a car ****, I love em and leave em..
