...And the start button actually does something.
Does what, start the car? ...
Yes. Hence the term "start button."

What is the point of having big *** chrome wheels, non-functioning body kits, duck-tail spoilers, hood scoops, tinted windows, etc.? Do you see the point?
That makes as much sense as the mods listed in your sig. No flame intended here but come on, what is the point of this mod?

I guess I just don't understand because in my opinion this is the dumbest and most useless thing I could think of to do to my car.

Does what, start the car? Other than having a pretty red button in your dash what exactly is the point of this?
Relax People It does about the same as stripes, chrome exhaust tips, hood pins, sequencing taillights, etc...
Looks cool to the owner.

It's relatively inexpensive, is a good time killer, and will give some people a better understanding of the wiring of the car. Plus having a little red button instead of some plug just looks nicer IMHO.

I think that when i install this it would be a good time to wire up some audio plugs for the aux channel.

I think its a little on the fruity james bond lexus side. If you can maybe do it without the key then.. maybe on a drunk night it would sound good.. but other wize it just seems to be a rice setup.

If you are talking about the Aux button on your Skipper unit, you do know that it doesn't do anything, right?

Lexus? Man, you need to get out more. Push button start has been around YEARS before Lexus even thought of doing it. And the execution in our Mustangs is no different than in the Ford GT, Ferrari Enzo, et. al. (like I said already). In those cars, you STILL have to put the key in the ignition and TURN IT TO THE RUN POSITION.

I thought it did....you have to sire in some audio plugs and plug something in. I was gonna plug in my old tape player so i could listen to some tapes...or whatever else i find to plug in, like my laptop.

Yes, start buttons have been around for 80+ years now. What I really want to understand is why you would desire to take an extra step just to start the car? This isn't the Ford GT, Lexus or '28 Ford p/u for that matter.
