Yeah I've looked into the bumper a lot. I've been to that site a few times, but for some reason I just cant seem to picture how the flares would be much different than those on the factory bumper. They cant stick OUT off the car any more, cuz then they wouldnt fit even with the rest of the kit, so I'm thinking that the ' 3/4" over the wheel ' means downward toward the ground / perpendicular to the ground. I trust your advice, but I would like to know just what it is that im missing.

And yeah, I agree with the waiting to get the whole kit until i have all the $$ so I'm not sure what I want to do. I just want something with a little more "excitement" to it than the factory GT bumper, and something that doesnt require 3M tape.

That's exactly what they do. The rest of the kit adjusts for this. That's why any individual part installed wouldn't look good.

Here are some pictures of the bumper, sorry it took so long.

If you want a race car look without the money of the whole kit you could go with the Steeda spliter.

I have the 3D carbon kits in stock if you want to talk prices.

If I do get a kit, all I need is the FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS AND SIDE SKIRTS AND I GUESS FENDER FLARES IF THOSE ARE NECESSARY. I already have scoops on the car and a spoiler so im good to go there. What would those items i listed run me $$$?

Wow. Thats still more than i want to pony up, no pun intended, right now. I just can't seem to get it through my mind why the fender flares on the back bumper are going to screw up the look of the car. In my mind they just simply are "longer", coming more downward toward the ground, but with the same "length" or distance off of the car as the flares on the stock body. I saw the pics, but i just cant seem to put together in my mind that it wouldnt fit. I trust the advice but Im the type that HAS to understand something in order to accept it.......bummer right?[:@]

That price is for the whole kit.

You can't just put the rear bumper on because the fender flares start on the bump and end on the side shirt. so if you just used the rear and the side shirts there would be a bump out where the front flare would have gone.

Where do you live? If you are close to CT. you can stop by the shop and look at it for yourself.

i appreciate the offer man but i live near Atlanta, Ga. So what if I got the rear bumper and fender flares alone? would that look retarded?
