I know it looks like a Boss (70 in Grabber Blue is my favorite car ever), that's why I went with the pattern I did.
Originally when I was going to jut get a GT I had the same scheme drawn up, and that's how I settled on new vs. Terminator.
Now that I'm going with the Shelby, I'm still liking the scheme.
Some might not know what is right away (GT or Boss or GT500) but anyone who looks close enough will be able to tell.
Plus, it ought to be unique. Shelby production numbers are already pretty low, and something painted like this ought to be of only a tiny handful out there.
I believe I'm going with the "chopped up" stripe as it comes up over the side of the fender (as seen in the one picture I posted). The blacked out hood, 70 style hockey stripe, and black spoiler.
I've thought about blacking out the trunk lid, but that would take away from the spoiler, same with the rear panel.

Nope, not worried about maintaining value.
I plan to have the car for awhile since I'm ordering it new. I've had my '99 since '04 and it's not going anywhere either, then add in my dads '72 down the road and I think I'm on my way to having a decent collection
Here is the idea I'm liking most thus far.
Can you see on the last piece of the side stripe, that the perimiter stripe closes it in. Meanstang08 had that idea and I think I like it.

If you've got other reasons for the pattern like having it look like a vintage but still want the Shelby benefits, by all means go for it. I can't knock it lol. It doesn't look bad at all, mostly people were thinking of keeping it Shelby since they cost an arm and a leg so why not preserve what you paid for. Since that's not an issue with you then go nuts! Either way it'll still turn heads.
