Yeah, I had the first model year, 2004. I chose to keep it after the buyback offer, but ended up caving to my inner pony car enthusiast a few years later

 

Mazda's mess wasn't quite as bad as Ford's with the 1999 Cobra. That hiccup was so bad it actually caused the 2000 Cobra to never happen.
