Default CLunking noise

anyone else get a clunking noise when backing up sometimes and turning the wheel. I notice it happens on my car occasionally when im backing out of my driveway. Sounds like a pop noise from one of the front struts or something.

Just wondering if I am the only one. I have been under my car many times and cant see anything loose or rubbing. I was actually thinking it could be the plastic panel under the car that you remove when changing the oil filter, maybe flexing or getting caught up on something.

This has come up on one of the other forums. Typically happens just once, when cold, below 10mph, and sometimes sounds like its from the left front wheel area. I think the conclusion was it was some self-test of the ABS.

I am chasing a random clunking sound in the right middle-rear when backing out or pulling into my drive. It seems to be when there is an occilation between thrust and drag on the rear suspension and drive line.

Nothing from the front, though.

2 lug nuts on my front, driver side wheel were so loose I could turn them by hand, I suggest others who have the sound check theirs. I haven't touched my wheels yet so they came like that from the factory.

this whas where the noise was coming from.
