Default 351 dooe heads

i just built a 347 with 1970 351 heads. i was told the intake gaskets are differnt from my 1994 block and intake. i was wondering if the head gaskets were differnt also. mainly the water jackets. i just fired it and i have water leaking into the engine from somewere. i wasnt thinking and used all gaskets for my 94 block.

head gaskets are the same, if you used the normal intake gaskets that would explain your leak. the gaskets you need have a "doglegged" shaped water passage hole instead of a square/rectangle

I have a pair of D0 heads I used to run on my windsor... I agree with the others, your leak is likely at the intake water cross-over. You will need the gaskets that have the "dog-leg" or "L" shape water passage for those heads. Otherwise, verify your intake bolt torque pattern and specs.

Good Luck,
Indy
