Can anyone confirm this does anything with IAT
readings before and after the mod?
" I took some temperture readings before the bypass was installed. With the engine coolant running through the TB the top of the TB was approximately 165 degrees. The bottom side of the TB was close to 180 degrees. The coolant lines themselves were about 190 degrees. Now with the bypass in place the top of the TB was only 93 degrees while the bottom was 130 degrees. So the throttle body is MUCH cooler! So in theory there should be a performance gain..."

now that I think about it, since winter is coming, it might be wise to leave the TB heater in for the winter...
Maybe a temp controlled valve that allows coolant to flow
thru the TB during the winter when lets say the ambient
temp is below 40 degrees and by-pass the TB when temps
are above 40 degrees. Now that would be a good TB coolant
by-pass mod I could live with. Factory function cold weather
and performance function warm weather.
I dont have an 05 but rather an 07 with no TB heating.
I hope mine dont freeze in cold weather.
Maybe Ford found out that the S197s didnt really need TB
heating in cold weather on the 4.0 V6.....
