Default so...

about a month ago i was the one who posted about getting an 8.8 rear-end cheap... well it fell threw then, but it's back on now!!!

guy says they're 3.55 gears... I know they'll probably be enough of a change that'll I'll like, but will it be really noticeable? I have a manual v6 so I'm sure these will be nicer than the 3.31s I have now... right?

the difference between the 3.31 and 3.55 will not be noticed really at all IMO.....and i know the manual GTs in 05 all had 3.55s but i am not sure what the sixxers came with

hmmm... well I guess its more of a mod to ensure integrity

Are the 8.8s really that much heavier? I figured maybe 15lbs at the very most..., which is something that is fine with me.

IF i ever decided to go f/i then the 8.8 would already be set up and ready to go.

plus t-lok's already in place and ready to go.

I'll let you guys know what I end up doing though, thanks for the feedback

Oh and I'm pretty sure v6s only have the 3.31 setup (auto/stick).

the actualy weight is not what makes the big difference. It's the extra rotating mass. The axles are beefier, gears are beefier, everything is. So everything that is spinning is heavier. It takes more power to move heavier parts so less power is gonna make it to the ground. it wont be a big difference but you may feel it.
