push to start help please

Default push to start help please

ok so i was installing the push to start and the part where ur supposed to splice the white wire on the end like an idiot i cut it. what can i do please help. thanks

I have never installed one of those, did you cut the wire too short? Cut it in half? Can you restrip the end? Exactly what do you mean by cut the end?

while i was splicing it i accidentally cut in half yeah and its too short to wrap together i can get it to touch pretty good but thats it. do u think if i got copper wire from a hardware store i can fix it

Is this the wire that is part of the harness or is this the wire part of the switch.

part of the switch that plugs in to the ignition thing on the left side of the steering column

Do NOT splice an extension in. Solder it. Also make sure you do NOT get solid copper core wire for the extension. Stranded wire from your local Radio Shack is fine.

Since you are probably new to soldering:

A variable power soldering iron is not necessary for light duty wire soldering. You can buy a cheapy 35w use for around $10 for a one-time use or use around the car.

just get another piece of wire and connect it to each side or use solder to solder it together...

i soldered it, its fine now but one other thing im pretty sure i put everything back together the right way i even double checked but the power to the bottom of the center has no power, no heat and no rear defroster what could that b a fuse? everything else works fine. thanks
