Default gt exhaust question on my v6

OK So i know this has been asked probally so please no smart *** answers or remarks, I just couldnt find anything on the seach relating to my question. I just purchased a Pipes x-pipe for my 2010 mustang v6. I cant afford to buy a big exhaust system at the moment but i can get a take off GT kick from the cat-back pretty cheap from a guy i know. MY question is will it work it my X-pipe?

Yes. You'll probably just need to take it to a shop to get some over axle pipes fabricated for you.

If you can get the entire exhaust from the cat back, it will be bolt up with the need for additional hangers in the rear for mufflers. I put a full GT system, cat back on my car. All that I needed to do was add the exhaust hangers and modify the GT H-pipe to fit the 4.0 header length. Everything from the cats back was off a GT. No fitment issues.

Yeah... mine from the X-pipe back is GT takeoff... with of course the addition of the brackets on the RH side of the car. You want to get the mufflers off a MANUAL TRANS GT... as they're a bit more aggressive sounding.

Most of us that have this set up really like it.

Good luck!

Well, whilst you "search"... you can hang the one muffler on the right... just swap it in place of the stock. That's what I did wilst I was "searching".

You'll be glad you did!

You can pick up the left side pipe on eBay for like 50 bucks brand new.
