I put a KN on my car, with a blower, and I noticed a response.
Dude, it's a KB, all you're feeling is the brand name. I bet if you bought a $12 blower off of e-bay (the one with a pinwheel shoved in a coffee can) you would actually be getting the same response...

BTW, does anyone think it's worth the extra $5 to get the e-bay blower with two pinwheels shoved in a coffee can? [sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I had a very knowledgeable tech explain to me what a cold air intake truely does. He said it doesn't really raise your peak horspower at all. What it does is SLIGHTLY alter your power curve so that at lower rpms you get a bit more zing. kinda hard to explain without drawing a diagram... but say your power curve is on a sharp angle, from low rpm to higher. with the CAI setup, it flattens it out A BIT with the same peak hp being reached, if not 1 or 2 more.

I want a CAI for my car!

lol don't have $200 to shell for it tho

George
I wouldn't put any money on the fact that this guy is "very knowledgeable".

The only thing a CAI does is make it easyer for the engine to pull in air. The less work the engine has to do to pull the air in, the more power it will make.

And the car will make more power UP TOP than down low. Down low it isn't pulling very much air into the engine, compared to at the top of the RPM window. The more air you pull in, the more difficulty the engine will have pulling thru the stock filter and intake.

Then get an Ebay brand pipe with a k&n filter. A pipe is a pipe.
