HELP car doesnt want to start, and belt slipps when changing gears

RE: HELP ME my car is gonna die
There is a procedure for setting the throttle plate closing with the stop screw, make sure they check it. It sounds to me as if the IAC cannot let in enough air to maintain idle. Or, it IS working properly and there is a connector/harness/or TPS problem. When you come back, they will put a top-Line Tech on it. Repeat repairs are very bad VOODOO for their shop service rating, Ford gets all over their ***, if they fall below a certain level.

Sounds too simple to be true but any chance of bad gas? With my CRX I had almost the exact same problem and it turned out to be some crappy gas (Damn you safeway!). I dunno, just something to consider...

RE: HELP ME my car is gonna die
So they replaced the IAC, and the issue was temporarily gone?
It now sounds like a TPS issue, which for Ford, is an easy fix and shouldn't take very long.
Someone mentioned I would suggest a fuel pump issue, sure that's quite possible, but at the moment it's always best to start with the simple and obvious first, before even considering it may be a bigger issue.
How does your car feel when you go WOT or get into the throttle? Does it still stutter and stumble?

Dude, that sux, your car was running so sweet last week,,, I think you should check your throttle plate stop screw, even if it just gets you by until monday, you could try raising the idle by manually turning the screw in. just a thought
