if you throw in a K&N Air Filter in addition to taking off your air silencer, you 'MIGHT" keyword "MIGHT" make 1-2 rwhp.. but its doubtful

its just something you 'can' take off, so why not?

i did it one time i was cleaning my K&N and i thought it might have changed my idle a TINY bit, but who knows, it could have been my imagination

Not taking your foot off the throttle while shifting.

BTW, remember y'all to remove your battery terminal and re-educate your PCM after ANY modification. Someone last week put on headers, had a lean spot, forgot to mention that. Years ago, 1989, I cleaned up the throttle body/IAC on a Taurus I was tuning, I forgot to disconnect the battery, THE CAR WOULD NOT IDLE! Until I remembered and did the disconnect. Even a layer .005 thick of sludge will effect A/F ratio so severly a car will not idle.
