Default shifting power higher into the rpms

In the class rules ofr the series that i race my cobra in they have a 9.5 lbs per hp ratio. I am almost right at that limit. with 322hp and 2988lbs. my question is do you guys think that adding more hp would be worth the added weight? Im really looking to get a good torque/hp curve in the rpms that i need them (4000-8500). Are cams the only thing that i can do to shift the power into that region of rpms
