Just fyi the engine doesnt have to come out for valve cover gaskets. Jus t did them a week ago.

If you want a head gasket that is garranteed not to blow use Cometic. They are the best. #2 would be Fel-pro in my book, then just the good old ford gasket.

Sure appreciate that offer Monkey....I am in Idaho tho...quite a hike from you. I was going to go with all ford parts, but will look at those other gaskets mentioned. Anything at this point will help...I am new to this engine - I usually tinker on my 69 mach 1 428SCJ....its easy!
