how is the mach 1 hood scoop functional? the air has to get rammed in at high speeds, do a complete U turn and go towards the front of the engine towards the air filter, and then still has to make it through the duct. Just wondering how that works because i remember someone saying it was good for 10-15 RWHP which is BS.

I dont know if its good for 15, but its good for a bout 10rwhp.

its simply ducting, and forces more air into the system, and think about it, the air actually IS cooler coming from the outside like that. more cooler air force in = more power :P That and machs are factory tuned to accomodate the intake

the tune for that helps a lot. and yes its much colder air.

Im thinking about the cervinis ram air kit since i already have the hood. Same price as a cold air intake, so its worth a try.

thats seems a lil libral to me

MAYBE with the tune....but it was my understanding that it adds 3-6hp depending on the speed
