Default RE: WHAT IS THE RIGHT RPM TO SHIFT

I shift at 5800 because i redline at 6 but the other day just for fun at 2:00AM I stopped in the middle of the road, of course making sure there weren't any drviers behind me. I launched the stang and "accidentally" shifted at redline but I swear I got more out of the car that time but all the other times weren't always from a stop. What I mean by accidentally is I haven't been racing in prolly a month, got a craving to run her up and ya, i need to go back up to patton and practice! I'm going to shady side in SC this thursday so i needed to know how well my car could get off the line with my clutch dying and all. It did fine so I think I will make good times at the track, it's only 1/8 but it will be worth the experience!
